Pune Development Authority or The Ministry of Urban Development Pune has five counterparts that look after Pune Development or development of Pune Metropolitan Area and lay the basics for Pune Development Plan. These include:
- Public Works Department
- Pune Municipal Corporation
- Pimpri - Chinchwad Municipal Corporation
- Pune Cantonment Board
- Dehu Road Cantonment Board
- Khadki Cantonment Board
Also known as Pune Mahanagar Palika, Pune Municipal Corporation was established in 1950. The main task of the PMC is to administer Pune development. Covering the entire Pune area, Pune Municipal Corporation gives you all information on Pune City and acts as Pune guide or Pune directory for all you info needs about Pune City.
Along with the Pune Municipal Corporation and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Pune Cantonment Board and Khadki Cantonment Board are engaged in the development and maintenance tasks in Pune city. Dehu Road Cantonment Board looks after the regulation of traffic within Pune Metropolitan Area.
