The city of Chennai is the southern metropolitan city of our country. It is the capital city of the state of Tamilnadu. Tamil is the major language, which is spoken here in this city. Since it is the capital city of TamilNadu and the southern metropolis there has always been an inflow of population into the city. People from other parts of South India have come to this city in search of work. Slowly and steadily, they have made this city as there home. Chennai was also one of the major centers of the tech boom that the country witnessed during the mid nineties. Hence, people from other parts of the country also came here to work here in the city.

In your own home, you would have to look into each detail personally even if you did not have the time. Security is another factor, which is important. In an apartment, there is less chance of thieves or robbers entering as there are security men guarding. In a house, you will have to maintain security yourself.

Living in apartments can have its disadvantages also. Here you do not have personal freedom that we have in our own homes. Your personal freedom is restricted to your personal flat. A committee comprising of members of that particular apartment normally maintains the apartment. They frame certain rule and guidelines. You will have to maintain those guidelines when you are in the common space.

After going through the pros and cons, you may decide to stay in an apartment. Land prices are indeed very high in a city like Chennai.
