Application Procedure: Candidate should have a valid Email ID. Candidate has to open the bankโ€™s website and visit the recruitment section. Open/download the Application Form. From there, he/she needs to take a printout of the challan (can be found in the Application Form). After taking the printout, head towards a nearby Indian Overseas Bank Branch (before 14.07.2012) and deposit it along with the application fee. The counter part of the challan (duly stamped along with scroll and transaction number) will be handed to the candidate. Next, visit the bankโ€™s website and fill up the application form. There will be a section where Scroll No. and Transaction No. need to be mentioned. Fill it properly as mentioned in the challan. After form filling, click the submit button for submission. Also, it is a must to take a printout of the form. It needs to be presented during the examination purpose.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Minimum & Maximum Age (as on 01.12.2012): 18 years & 28 years respectively
  • Minimum Educational Qualification (as on 01.12.2012): Minimum 65% marks in the Higher Secondary (10 + 2) examination. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD, the minimum marks is 60% or a diploma in Banking with 60% pass mark (gen) and 55% (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) or 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized university (45% for SC/ST/OBC/ PWD)
  • Candidates should have strong proficiency in the field of Computer. They should have certification in basic computer application
  • Candidates should have strong fluency in English (both verbal and written skills)
  • Minimum Post-Qualification Experience (as on 01.12.2012): No experience required.
  • Nationality:Should be a citizen of India, Nepal, and Bhutan. People from other places who have received a citizenship status in India are also eligible for the post.

Candidates need to sit for Common Written Examination. Minimum pass marks for General Category is 22.50 while that of SC/ST/OBC/PWD is 20 out of 50. It is a must for a candidate to pass the Common Written Examination to become eligible for the interview. However, mere passing the Common Written Exam will not guarantee an interview call. Marks obtained, qualification, age will all come into consideration.
