Jaipur housing authority is a subsidiary of the JDA, that is concerned primarily on the city housing development projects. However, JDA or Jaipur Development Authority has bigger margins to consider. JDA is concerned with planning, implementation, and development of the entire city of Jaipur. Jaipur used to be one of the most well-planned and structurally developed cities during the early ages, say 15th and 16th century. Jaipur Development Authority is working wholeheartedly to make this historic city one of the most developed in India, in terms of facilities, growth, and amenities.

Jaipur Development Authority was formed when Government of Rajasthan took the initiative to maneuver and combat the increasing requirement of a big city due to bigger population presence. To provide Jaipur with a planned metropolis outlook is the primary objective of JDA. Developing residential housing projects at different parts of the city is one of the major initiatives. A lot of commercial ventures are taking shape in some of the busiest areas of Jaipur. Construction and development of flyovers, roads, highways, shopping malls, residential apartments, etc are taking place effectively under strict supervision of Jaipur Development Authority.

The western side of Jaipur has been going through major development phases by JDA. Be it construction of hi-tech commercial complexes or residential apartments, a lot of projects are getting developed in this part of the city. However, this does not mean that other parts of Jaipur are getting neglected by JDA. Have a look at the major undertakings by JDA:

  • City infrastructural development through construction of parking places, roads, flyovers, subways, and bridges
  • Development of residential schemes and commercial projects within the city as well at the suburbs
  • Basic amenity development like ring roads, parks, and community centers
  • Development & rehabilitation of slum and dwells
  • Preparing the master plan along with its proper implementation
  • Implementation of colonization guidelines
