MHADA or Maharashtra Housing & Area Development Authority was allotted land in Goregaon in 1992. The MHADA Goregaon land is the largest plot in its possession. The land was developed under MHADA housing schemes mainly consisting of cooperative housing societies and MHADA flats that were an instant hit among the LIG, MIG and HIG categories constructed.
The successful and well-acclaimed MHADA projects in Goregaon include the Raheja Compound and Khot Dongri. MHADA projects in the housing sector have received appreciation in areas like Shastri Nagar, Siddharth Nagar, Mitha Nagar and adjacent colonies in Goregaon.
