MHADA – Maharashtra Housing & Area Development Authority had announced the new MHADA Housing Scheme under the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category in Malad – Malwani areas of Mumbai. The housing scheme included sale of around 870 Flats developed by MHADA at Malad – Malvani on 24 June 2008.
The MHADA Malwani Housing Scheme offered 1 BHK flats measuring 180 sq. ft. for allotment to a person with Gross Family Income not exceeding Rs. 8,000 per month. Along with these, announcements for around 1,441 flats in the LIG, MIG and HIG categories at Shakhar Nagar & Tagore Nagar in Vikhroli and Pratiksha Nagar in Sion was also made.
The Last date for applications submissions was 14 July 2008 and draw a few days later. The allotments were to be made on basis of the MHADA Malad Malvani Lottery. This draw of lots undertaken by MHADA would decide the successful applications. Refund of the Registration amount would be made to the unsuccessful applicants.
The Lottery Draw slated to be held in July 2008 was delayed and finally announced on 10th Nov 2008. The results of this draw including a winner’s list and a waiting list has been displayed on the MHADA official website. The link to the site has been provided below. Browse through the category under which you had applied to look for your Registration Number.
A letter of intimation would also be issued by MHADA within 3 days to the winners of the Malad Malwani Lottery for flats. The Deposit of registration fee for the unsuccessful applicants would be refunded through HDFC Bank within a month of the Lottery draw.
